December 2005 Archives

Sunny day here in The Morgue. Gotta love that the top news photo for yesterday was a squirrel on a tree. Sending this dispatch via free wireless, "borrowed" from someone nearby. I guess this place is a little more civilized than it used to be!

Suffering from a severe sugar coma, but also feeling the benefits of being away from the occupational craziness for a bit. Gives one perspective, reminds me that it's a tool to finance my actual life :)

Heading back to the BA tomorrow, and that's all goodness. Even though (or maybe because) it's soggy, it's home. While I haven't felt as much pressure to suppress my Self this visit as in some times past, I still feel sort of like I fold in on myself when in Colorado, and can finally stretch out and stand up straight once I touch down at SFO.

Think my glucose levels are droppping. Must be time for some fudge.

The Central Command has finally decided that Bob Novak has fulfilled his infiltrate and destroy mission and will be rejoining the collective.

Ho Ho Ho

Golly, but it's been ages since I've checked into Blog Land.

What's a "twidderpated goofalumpette," you ask? Well, that would be me, when I'm under the influence of a certain Gemini geek-boy I know. Not an uncommon state of late, and that's just fine by me.

I haven't been completely checked out of news & politics & all those other things that make we happy, rational few wince. However, I've been waking up to KFOG instead of KQED for the past few weeks, and I have to report that I'm more cheerful in the morning. Of course, there could be other reasons I wake up cheerful, but let's just leave it at audio inputs, shall we?

Checked out Tucson over the Thanksgiving holiday. Pretty, but I'm not sure I'd feel the same way when it's 115 outside. A cool excursion was the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum in Saguaro National Park. Kind of a "greatest hits" display of local flora and fauna. Again, lovely when it's only 75 degrees outside.

Was nice to get back to the good ol' rainy Bay Area. Winter rules.
