Fake Steve has a pointer to this 10 year old article on 101 ways to save Apple. It's a hoot to see which ones of these suggestions Apple ignored (good thing), and which ones hit pretty close to the mark when predicting the ingredients of Apple's resurrection.
My vote for most laughably wrong suggestion:
59. Invest heavily in Newton technology
Best suggestions:
10. Get a great image campaign.
50. Give Steve Jobs as much authority as he wants in new product development.
8. Buy a song. (well, they didn't actually do it in the way Wired suggested, but...)
